Many times I paint multiple canvases at the same time. This is a great for moving ideas, thoughts and creativity out on the canvas.
For this painting, I was working through thoughts on “division” and horizons. Having two distinct thoughts and feelings, even when they conflict, at the same time can be normal and I wanted to get those feelings on the canvas.
