I’m drawn to yellow in paintings. It is a strong color with lots of connection to life and growth. The impact of Rothko’s Untitled, 1949 probably stays fresh in my mind with the powerful use of yellow in that masterpiece.

I wanted a piece where yellow was featured, which led to the creation of this work.
