The artist must have the emotional side first, the primal cause of his being an artist, but he must also have an excellent mind, which he must command and use as a tool for the expression of his emotions. - Robert Henri Art is emotion to me. Translating emotion to canvas is what I love and strive to do with every piece.

This painting represents the colors I have been feeling and dealing with the last few weeks. Deep and dark, near depression level with flashes and streaks of anger.

Along side those emotions is clarity. All stirred and blurred by motion and daily life.

Depression. Anger. Clarity.

I'm only this far and only tomorrow leads the way.
